NHS England East of England are delighted to offer bespoke health tribunal training to ICB and provider professionals who work within the SEND agenda. Following discussions and requests from our health colleagues the training will cover;
The legal responsibilities for health services, including responding to health requests (particularly for children not known to service)
The role of the Designated clinical/ medical officer in the National Extended appeal.
The health report – what needs to be included, level of detail and the requirement for a new assessment.
Preparing to be a witness at a tribunal hearing and the court process
Responding to non- binding recommendations identified by the tribunal.
The role of the senior responsible officer and senior commissioners in the National extended appeal process.
